Frank repaints his mural - 30 years later

These first few pictures are really grainy. I forgot the camera was set on ISO 1600 which was really unnecessary. May re-shoot them

Film Scanner is Down

So I have been making collages in my photobook and digitally combined family photos.

my great aunt and uncle's house in Virginia (above)
below: my grandmother

I found this picture (below) among the family photos but I don't know who he is. I think it is a very nice picture though, and obviously someone in my family had an appreciation for good environmental portrait photography and good music.

Hazel Roy for President!

I just think Hazel Roy is looking very presidential here. I'll photoshop his eyes in later, and then maybe someone could forward this to Shepard Fairey for me. He'll be running against Palin in 2016. He'll win.

Since I try to push myself to have some kind of new photos on here on a weekly basis, I find myself stopping to take 20 pictures of something I might not necessarily go out of my way for. Hence these butterflies which have swarmed our backyard all summer. I'm glad I make myself do it.

This is from an old roll of film I found in my desk drawer that I never developed. I think I took it three years ago

Voigtlander

Pete gave me an old Voigtlander medium format folding camera as a graduation present and told me about a guy who polishes and fixes them up good as new. I decided to take a roll of film before I send it off, and this is what they look like. I don't know if the image quality gets better when fixed up. I'll have to figure out better how to focus correctly.

Yellow Early Evening

From last Saturday. The sky poured down much needed rain a couple hours earlier, then everything became golden.
